As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 19 years of experience, I provide culturally sensitive care to those navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Olivia Sterling is an Afro-Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in providing culturally sensitive, holistic therapy across diverse populations. In her work, Olivia utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices, including: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
Olivia’s background consists of providing individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents living in Residential Treatment Centers. She has also served as a Forensic Social Worker to incarcerated individuals and their families. Olivia has created and developed community-based programs to promote youth empowerment and education, in communities of color and for LGBTQ+ persons.
Olivia has a strong clinical background in assisting people living with chronic and advanced illnesses with their end-of-life care. Her expertise lies in supporting those dealing with anxiety and/or depression in their life transitions and/or grief and bereavement. While she comes to the practice with a wealth of clinical knowledge and training, she is most interested in providing an open heart and mind to those seeking transformative experiences and emotional healing.

I have over 20 years of experience in working with people to help them move their lives forward in healthy and positive directions. I utilize a integrative approach tailoring therapy to the needs of my clients. My training is extensive helping people recover from trauma, depression and anxiety.

I earned my degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, advocacy, and culturally responsive care. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations across various settings, deepening my expertise in helping clients move through life transitions, relationship challenges, and complex emotional experiences. I remain committed to ongoing continuing education to stay current with research, evidence-based interventions, and best practices, ensuring the care I provide is informed, relevant, and effective
