My clients see me as warm, relatable, and easygoing. I completed my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY New Paltz in 2016 and have been working directly with clients of all backgrounds ever since.
I firmly believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story.
I have a doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education, and Human Development, as well as a Master's in Community Mental Health Counseling and a Master's in School Counseling from the University of Rochester. I have been counseling for 20 years and incorporate a psychodynamic approach to therapy. I am an ethical therapist and approach therapy with care, expertise, and knowledge while building trusting relationships with clients.
I am a bilingual couples and family therapist with over nine years of experience providing trauma-focused care to people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. I value diversity and believe in the power of collaboration to effect change. I focus on your needs while working together to achieve your goals and improve your day-to-day living.
In therapy, it's important for you to know that I'm here to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. My approach is collaborative and compassionate—I’ll work with you to understand your experiences and help you move toward meaningful change. I value honesty, curiosity, and respect, and I’ll always meet you where you are emotionally and mentally. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin; we’ll navigate this process together at your pace.
Therapy is about accepting who you are, while also exploring the ways you can grow. I am a Licensed & Board-Certified Creative Arts Therapist with related training in DBT and stress reduction. I’m particularly passionate about helping people dealing with complicated, unhealthy, or violent relationships. I also enjoy working with adolescent and young adult clients, particularly those healing from trauma or navigating life transitions.
I believe therapy is most meaningful when we’re willing to look beneath the surface. I help clients explore the root causes of their struggles, not just manage symptoms, so we can better understand the patterns shaping their lives. tailor strategies to fit your specific needs and how you’re experiencing the issue. I welcome engaged clients who are ready to do the work, ask thoughtful questions and dive deeper. Therapy with me is a partnership as we work side by side to create meaningful, lasting change.
