Starting therapy can often make people feel nervous and unsure about what to expect. I understand how hard it is to trust a stranger with such personal thoughts and feelings. I have been working to help others create a safe and productive space to share and grow since 2013.
I am licensed in Texas with 17 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seek a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I first entered the mental health field in 2010, working in local group homes and then as a case worker. I attended LeTourneau University, where I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. I received my counseling license in 2020, and although I have many professional interests, I have focused most of my continuing education on trauma work. My passion for this work comes from my beliefs that trauma is not forever and that everyone has the opportunity to grow.
I’m Karolyn Brown, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families, and my style is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, & Solution-Focused work.
I often help clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, major life transitions, and the complexities of blended or high-conflict families. I also do a lot of work in grief and bereavement, holding space for people who are trying to make sense of deep loss while still finding a way forward.
At the heart of my practice is creating a calm, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we work toward meaningful, realistic change.
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science degree and over 12 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. My practice is grounded in the belief that every person has a unique story worth understanding and the inner strengths needed to create meaningful change. Whether you’re navigating relational struggles, personal growth, or emotional stress, my goal is to support you in discovering what’s possible and moving toward the life you want.
Life brings challenges that can feel overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to find your way forward on your own. My goal is to walk alongside you through the good, the bad, and everything in between. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, identify your strengths, and work toward building the tools you need to feel more resilient, motivated, and confident in your daily life.
