Hi, I am James and I am happy you are here. I hold a license in the State of Texas as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and as a chemical dependence counselor (LCDC). I have a masters in science and a masters in social work. I have several years of experience in the addiction setting and developing a trauma informed approach. Aside from all these areas, I am a human being offering a safe space for another human being to explore the dynamics of being human. I welcome the journey together.
I am a licensed counselor with 5 years of experience working with survivors of domestic violence, child abuse and other trauma. I understand the ways in which trauma can shape the perceptions and how it colors reality for the person who experienced it. I believe in the capacity of human beings to recovery and live prosperous and happy lives.
I know what it’s like to want change and feel unsure where to begin. That’s why I created Oh Shift-a space to pause, breathe, and start again. As a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience, I bring clinical expertise grounded in genuine compassion. I don’t believe you’re broken, I believe you’re becoming. Your story matters, and this work is about helping you shift into the next version of yourself with clarity, confidence, and intention.
I like to cook/bake, spend time with family and freinds, as well as being outdoors, and antique shopping
For me, therapy is about helping you reconnect with who you truly are and guiding you toward a life that feels meaningful and joyful. I believe that healing happens when we create a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the cracks in our foundation—those places where we may have lost sight of our worth or struggled to feel whole.
Catherine Williams, PMHNP-BC. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Texas telehealth). I strive to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, or major life transitions, I work collaboratively with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that empowers growth and promotes meaningful, sustained emotional well-being.
