As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, I believe meaningful change happens within a supportive therapeutic relationship.
Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're new to the process, or even returning! I’ve been practicing for over a decade and recently have shifted my main focus to individuals 18+ who are struggling with anxiety and depression.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric care across the lifespan. I specialize in ADHD, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders, with a focus on individualized medication management. I aim to provide care that is clear, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs.
I was born and raised in Brazil. When I was 16 years old I moved to Boston Massachusetts, where I discovered my passion for Mental Health. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree focusing on Mental Health Counseling from Salem State University.
I have been working as a Counselor for the past 3 years, I have experience working with Individuals struggling with severe mental health issues and individuals looking to better understand themselves.
I’ve been working with women, children and families for over 15 years in individual counseling, group settings, and program development. My expertise lies in helping people understand their own emotional experience, to use words not violence, to cope, to reduce impulsive and compulsive behavior, to advocate for themselves.
I believe to live fully, we must feel. Intensely. Viscerally. Freely. To feel pride and pain, joy and frustration. To taste the freedoms of life, as well as its restraints. To reconcile thoughts, actions and emotions that are often at odds. To square all of this with culture, beliefs, and history. To live fully is when a sense of equity, equality and balance is awakened. To live fully is to gain perspective and know that you can weather all of it, and not be overcome by these complexities, but learn to integrate them, for a full life.
My education is not limited to my degrees. I learn from my clients every day. They have taught me empathy, compassion, resilience, and what it means to live fully. I hold these values sacred, and strive to live a life of purpose. I never ask a client to do something I’m not willing to do myself.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults of all ages who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and identity concerns. I have particular experience providing gender-affirming therapy and supporting clients as they explore and celebrate their gender identities. My goal is to help you build a meaningful life by identifying and embracing your authentic self.
Hello and welcome to therapy! I have over ten years of experience working in the social work field and over six years of experience as a licensed therapist. My approach with clients is always to go at their pace and make therapy something they look forward to. One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is being able to make clients comfortable! I think therapy should be a safe place of comfort to process, grieve, and also celebrate the small victories we experience every day.
I have years of experience working with youth, adults and families during times of heightened crisis and uncertainty. Specializing in stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and trauma .
