Hi my name is Michele and I have been in the social work field for abour 11 years. I have my masters in social work from Lewis University. I am licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have certifications in treating Trauma, Shame Informed care and Anxiety disorders. I have a background in domestic violence and crisis intervention. I have worked at a therapeutic day school and working with adolescents whom have a behavioral plan and/or a 504 plan and IEP. I have enjoyed working in private practice therapy for 7 years and working with many diverse populations and diagnoses. I also have worked in an inpatient behavioral hospital doing individual and facilitating family therapy sessions. I also have experience writing social emotional curriculum for children working towards building social development skills. Most recently I have been focusing in trauma informed care and specializing in anxiety orders. I work with primarily Military service members and their family members. Whether you are looking to manage life stressors, low moods or regulate anxiety I am looking forward to helping you start this journey.
I have been a counselor for over 5 years, with over 16 years in the helping field. I completed my Bachelors & Master at LCU in 2020. I completed my clinical licensure in 2022. I have practiced in multiple settings and love meeting people where they’re at.
I primarily work from a EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). I completed EFCT training in the Summer of 2025.
You deserve a therapist who knows the terrain. I’ve been where you are. I have experienced mental health from every angle—as someone who has done the deep personal work, as someone who has navigated the pain of losing loved ones to suicide, and now as a therapist. When I suggest a tool or a shift in perspective, it’s because I practice what I preach. I know the freedom that comes from setting boundaries and building a life you truly love, and I want that same transformation for you.
A perspective shaped by the world. Growing up with over 30 exchange students from around the globe taught me early on that everyone’s "normal" looks different. This curiosity follows me outside the office, too. I’m currently on a mission to spend at least one night in every state—I only have five left to go! This love for travel and culture keeps my mind open and my spirit curious—traits I bring into every session we share.
Great to meet you!
