As a heartbreak therapist, my approach is evidence-based, gentle, and non-judgmental. I provide a comforting, open space, where you are the expert in your own life. My role is to help you navigate anxiety, depression, and heartbreak. Clients often describe me as easygoing and feeling safe in my care. Many say if I weren’t their therapist, we’d be friends because of the warmth and comfort I offer.
I am an incredibly empathetic therapist who's joy is to provide a safe space to my clients. I utilize a variety of counseling theories in order to provide services. I am engaging and inquisitive and enjoy invoking humor within the sessions when appropriate.
Hello and welcome! I understand the decision to go to therapy can be overwhelming, yet here you are. I use an integrative approach that is tailored to you. I've worked with various areas that include anxiety, panic, trauma, stress management, existential crises, pregnancy loss, relationships, attachment, life transitions, divorce, and occupational stressors/performance. I have training in CBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, DBT, and Gottman Couples Therapy that informs my approach.
Jami Rieffel, LMFT
Founder & Therapist, CoAuthored Therapy
I believe therapy is most powerful when it feels like a story we write together. I bring a collaborative, narrative-based approach to working with individuals, couples, and families. My goal is to create a space where clients feel both supported and empowered to re-author the stories that shape their lives.
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University, where I focused on systems theory and narrative practice. Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse populations supporting clients through challenges such as relationship transitions, trauma recovery, and identity exploration.
I’m here to support you through whatever life has brought your way. I work with preteens, teens, and adults using simple, evidence-based tools like CBT and TF-CBT to help you understand your feelings and develop healthier ways to cope. I focus on creating a warm and trusting environment where you can talk openly, feel encouraged, and begin to make positive changes. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling stronger, more aware, and more in control of your life.
