A New leaf therapy is a group practice in Pueblo Colorado with many therapists and styles.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addictions Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience since receiving my social work degree from the University of Chicago. My experience includes working as an individual and group therapist, bereavement coordinator/counselor, medical and hospice social worker, crisis evaluator, and clinical supervisor of a team of therapists.
Hi my name is Mark M Miller. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and the founder of at Your Convenience Mental Health and Relationship Counseling (AYCMARC).
As mentioned in the highlight the answer to the above question is false. Behavior modification principles suggest that we can change our or others behavior through punishment and reward.
Systems theory suggest that any change in the system (family, group or society) changes the system. Therefore, a more truthful axiom is the only person you can willingly change is yourself.
After 20+ years in the mental health field I realize it is when a change to the system or when an individual change is when conflict, problems, symptom appear or worsen.
Real change therefore takes a commitment and an acceptance to the change by both the system and the individual.
This is why I created the 3 phases of the D.A.M D.U.D.E.
V.I, R.T, U, E approach
Stage 1 Reduction and management of symptoms, conflict or problem
Stage 2 – Explore how the solution (symptoms, conflict problem etc.) protects us and helps us survive.
Step 3 - Create Virtue and Transformation so the symptoms, problem are no longer needed within the individual and/or the system.
My approach assesses both individual functioning and relationships not matter if you seek relationship or individual counseling. As our individual functioning affects our relationships and out relationships affect our individual function.
My D.A.M D.U.D.E. V.I, R.T, U, E approach is a therapeutic tool box that integrates best practice and evidence-based practice along with the things that are on The National Counseling Exam (NCE) and National Marriage and Family Exam along with Trauma, Poly Vagal, Loss and Shame informed practices.
My D.A.M D.U.D.E. V.I, R.T, U, E approach is a true bio, psycho, social and for lack of better word spiritual approach that treats the person and the symptoms not just one or the other,

Life is messy, and it can feel overwhelming when we can't control the world around us. Often we turn to food, alcohol, drugs, and other unhelpful behaviors to escape the messiness; yet the shit keeps piling up and the cycle continues. Sound relatable?
My specialty is working with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, substance abuse, and trauma with a special interest in working with healthcare providers affected by working on the front lines of COVID-19.
Collaboratively, we will work to identify what's keeping you stuck, and help you move towards living a life that's aligned with YOUR values.
I'm a psychodynamic therapist which means I'm going to challenge you to dig deep and talk about the hard stuff. I know this is a vulnerable thing to ask; many of my clients say my realness helps them be real too. I listen actively, offering practical solutions and techniques to help us better cope with challenges, all punctuated with a sense of humor.
I love what I do. The therapeutic relationship is sacred to me, and is founded in trust, respect, and empathy. My office is a judgment-free zone; I believe our flaws make us human and should be embraced, not shamed. If you are looking for an authentic human to help you get off of the hamster wheel, give me a call for a free phone consultation.
My degree is in Transpersonal therapy which means considering the individual and the larger world around that person. Together, my clients and I bring attention to and create plans for how they want to create the change they're hoping for in their lives.
I completed my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and have been licensed for more than 8 years. I've gained valuable experience working with clients across numerous agencies and 4 years of private practice to assist couples, individuals, and families like you to address anxiety, depression, trauma, work stress, couples therapy, divorce/break ups, and grief/loss.
My name is Dr. Amy Lukowski. I am a licensed psychologist and thoroughly enjoy actively collaborating with individuals to reach their goals. I work with patients living with depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, and relationship and work challenges. I teach practical skills that help you improve your quality of life. I look forward to working together.
